Dead Fish and Chocolate Sauce

The flight was from DFW to ATL, her name was Lauren and she was from Washington DC. A vibrant and starry-eyed woman of 23 who never finished that chicken salad with avocado on her lap ’cause we were seriously chatting it up. As I type, she is probably living in that small village in Peru by now working with niños de la calle and smiling her sweet smile. She is an illuminating young woman full of hope and filled to the brim with the greatest intentions. I do hope she is happy.

She told me about the fun she has had with dead fish and chocolate sauce. Yes, that’s right – dead fish and chocolate sauce. You get some dead fish, some kids, some chocolate sauce and start beating the crap out of each other. What could be more fun than that?

So, I’m going to try it out.  Perhaps this weekend.
